DV's Outofmind (Buttons) GH Data Special Needs/Senior
Female, White and Fawn, DOB 9-13-00, approx 65 lbs. Button came to GPA/EC several months ago through no fault of her own. She wasn't in the best way and saw our vet immediately. After some surgery and a dental Buttons is doing well. The biopsy report says that she has a form of cancer called hemangiosarcoma. We don't know if she just has it on her skin or if it's internal as well. What ever the case may be, Buttons is a resident of our Senior for Senior Foster program. She will be cared for by EC while living her senior years with a senior person. It's a win-win situation for both. Button just moved to her forever foster. She and her new person are loving each others company. They are getting healthy together by taking several walks a day. It doesn't get much better than that......It's the ultimate feel good story, Oh and BTW.....her favorite food is smoked oysters in cottonseed oil. Focalin (Dixie) GH Data Senior
Female, White & Brindle, DOB 1-24-2001, approx 48 lbs. Dixie came to GPA/EC through no fault of her own along with her two housemates. All are receiving medical care and attention. Dixie will require a soft food diet for a while since she lost 16 teeth during her dental. Dixie is eligible for our Senior Foster program (fka Senior for Seniors program). She is a little on the reserved side but warms up after a while. (Cathy & Chris - Pensacola area)
Away from Thesun (Sun) GH Data Senior
Male, Fawn, DOB 1-2-2003, approx 75 lbs. Sun comes to GPA/EC due to an illness in his previous family. They were no longer able to care for him and the decision was made to find him a new home. He was living with two small Chihuahua's and now shares his foster home with different size dogs. He's a pleasant fella that isn't bothered by his new situation but is looking to find a home of his own. (Ann & Skip - Pensacola area)
