DV's Outofmind (Buttons) GH Data Special Needs/Senior
Female, White and Fawn, DOB 9-13-00, approx 65 lbs. Button came to GPA/EC several months ago through no fault of her own. She wasn't in the best way and saw our vet immediately. After some surgery and a dental Buttons is doing well. The biopsy report says that she has a form of cancer called hemangiosarcoma. We don't know if she just has it on her skin or if it's internal as well. What ever the case may be, Buttons is a resident of our Senior for Senior Foster program. She will be cared for by EC while living her senior years with a senior person. It's a win-win situation for both. Button just moved to her forever foster. She and her new person are loving each others company. They are getting healthy together by taking several walks a day. It doesn't get much better than that......It's the ultimate feel good story, Oh and BTW.....her favorite food is smoked oysters in cottonseed oil. Male, Brindle, DOB 4-11-01, approx 84 lbs. Jake comes back to GPAEC through no fault of his own. He has moved into foster care and had not one problem at all. This fella is a no nonsense, no maintenance kinda guy. He still gets his groove on outside in the yard. Jake travels well in the car and has no space issues. Jake has been a single dog in the past but seems to enjoy the company of the others in his foster home. (Liz & Bill - Pensacola area)($ponsored by Lisa Ulshoffer)
Female, White & Brindle, DOB 1-22-2004. Freedom is a really affectionate girl! She greets me very enthusiastically whenever I come in the door (whether I have been gone at work all day, or just taking out the trash!) She wags all over and jumps up and down. She is very obedient and obeys all the house rules. She is fine with the resident cat, who takes our daily walks with us. Freedom will talk to me excitedly when she is ready to go for a walk, too. She barks and makes "oooh wow" sounds while bowing and wagging her tail. What a lovely girl she is! (Jodi - Ft Walton area)(

Male, Black, DOB 1-23-2008, approx 75 lbs. Watson has been in foster care for a little while and has seen our vet about his eyes. He has pannus which is a very manageable eye condition but does require daily medication. Since being in fostercare, one eye has completely cleared and the other is getting better too. Watson shares his foster home with other greyhounds and has shown to be small dog tolerant. (Phyllis & Norman - Pensacola area)
