White w Brindle Ticking, DOB 2-3-06, 70 lbs. Lucy says that some of her friends have been looking for their forever homes for quite a while. She asked that everyone look below her new picture to see some new info on some dogs that have been here for a little while, as well some new dogs. She hears ya talkin'. Lucy is a special needs girl. She has epilepsy that is well controlled. Lucy is also visually impaired but gets along very well in her foster home. She enjoys her runs outside, can play with toys and can maneuver the three steps to get on the deck in her foster home. Lucy lives comfortably with other Greys, a small dog and birds. Mrs T
Female, White & Black, 9 years old, 59 lbs. “Mrs. T” is an absolute little doll. Gentle and sweet, she came to us from a rescue shelter, heartworm positive and began undergoing treatment. She has done beautifully and has blossomed into the happy, girl she deserves to be. Her ear tattoos are not legible so we don’t know her exact birthday or racing name. She absolutely loves being called Mrs. T., was a world class schmoozer at her first Meet & Greet, and she is clearly enjoying being loved and well cared for. She lives with other GH’s and small dogs at her foster home, and doesn’t pay attention to the visiting cat. (Fostered with Cathy & Chris - Pensacola area)($ponsored
by Roger Spencer to “Thank” Donna for Mrs. T.)
Female, Black, DOB 1-10-05, 61 lbs.
Catch loves her walks and greets everyone with a wag. She seeks out and gives lots of attention at home. She is super smart, her mind is always busy, and she's curious about how everything in the house works. When she's not running in the yard or playing with her squeaky toys, she's keeping company with our forever Penny and the humans. She's not a bit shy or insecure, nor does she want to dominate - she's just happy and well adjusted. She gets along with the children she's met, ( 7 and 12). Catch has now met a couple of small dogs (Italian Greyhounds) and passed her small dog tolerance. Cat tolerance is still in the works. Female, White Ticked Brindle, DOB 12-05-06, 64 lbs. Kissy is a beautiful young girl who is mostly white with some brindle patches. She is very curious and follows her foster mom from room to room to make sure she doesn't miss out on anything important. She is very affectionate and freely gives out kisses. She likes to play with her stuffies, particularly the loud, squeaky ones. Kissy gets excited when she hears the word "walk" and she does very well on a leash as she checks out the neighborhood. She has excellent house manners and does not beg at the table, counter surf, or get on the furniture. She has not been small dog tested, but doesn't pay any attention to the beagle across the fence from her. She gets along fine with the resident greys and enjoys being around well-mannered children. After the resident cat gave Kissy a not-so-warm greeting, she decided that maybe it would be best to avoid that nasty kitty altogether. This sweetie is a sure bet to steal your heart with her winning personality. (Phyllis & Norman - Pensacola area)($ponsored by Leo & MaryAnne Holland and McCoy)
Female, Black, DOB 1-15-02, 60 lbs. Pepper is living in her foster home with a small dog, two cats and three other Greyhounds. She has excellent house manners, walks well on a leash, and will crate with just a request from her humans. She loves to be around people, is quiet and dignified and would not mind being the only dog. After all, not having to share the attention is a good thing! (Marsha & Max - Pensacola area)
Male, White& Red Fawn, DOB 5-1-05, 70lbs. Mr P has recently moved to foster care.Mr P is now sharing his home with anothe Grey, a senior mix breed and a couple cats. After being smacked by the Chief Kitty, he decided that it wasn't worth his effort to continue trying to catch a sniff and went along his way. Mr P also has no trouble with the small dogs he has been fostered with. (Alesia - Destin)($ponsored by Lisa Ulshoffer)
Male, Brindle, DOB 9-10-03, 71 lbs, A very handsome brindle boy, Iggy is a lovely combination of wide eyed wonderment and the patience of maturity. It seems he's decided this pet gig is the bomb, so he spends most of his time begging for affection, or following his foster mom around the house (what will she do next?). Iggy gets along well with the resident dogs (greys and lab) and has been sighted sharing a water bowl with one of the cats (the dumb one of course)--felines aren't of much interest. Iggs doesn't run around the yard with his hair on fire, or play roughly with the other dogs - he would rather get some extra affection, or take a little siesta. Iggy's house manner are excellent, his crate is his haven, and he's an angel on a leash. This sweet fellow doesn't mind assisting with the yard work, but he definitely doesn't like to swim in the pool. He's not much of a chow hound, so he doesn't beg or pick the garbage (a favorite hobby of the resident animals) If you're looking for a beautiful, loving, quiet boy with excellent manners and a tolerance for cats, Iggy is your dream dog!
