Without further ado,
the 2007 Howliday photos are finally ready. There were so many
fantastic shots of the day! We had a chat with the folks over at
Dotophoto, and they've indicated that due to the high volume of
orders expected there may be some delays for the more popular items.
However, we managed to reduce some of the pricing! Remember, all
proceeds are going directly to GPAEC.
Before heading over to view the photos and shop, we ask you take
the time to read the following very important notes that could
prevent potential issues in the long run:
A critical note about CROPPING of photos:
A 4x6 photo does not have the same ratio (shape) as an 8x10 photo,
etc.. DotPhoto lets you preview what this crop will look like. When
you are viewing a photo, look at the lower right side of the photo
and you will notice the words “See Cropping”. Click to preview how
your photo will be cropped in the various sizes offered. THIS IS
EXTREMELY IMPORTRANT TO CHECK. DotPhoto does not offer refunds
for photos that you don’t like the cropping on. Be sure to check so
you don’t crop noses or heads. DotPhoto gives you the option to turn
off cropping when you purchase the picture. This means your photo
will have extra white space around it that you can trim or cover
with a mat. The shopping cart also gives more info about the crop of
the photo so you can double check before you complete your order.
See DotPhoto’s FAQ for more information.
How to view and purchase photos and gifts:
There are multiple ways to shop in DotPhoto. Here’s the what you’ll
most likely first encounter: Click on any photo in the gallery. On
the right hand side of the photo you will notice three drop down
menus. Click on Shop. (There is also a shop icon above the photo)
You can choose from prints, gifts, cards, or you can view your cart.
The gift you pick will apply to the photo you are currently viewing.
Choosing paper type:
Matte or Glossy? When view your prints in your shopping cart, please
look at the very top left of the page and make sure to check what
type of paper you want. By default, DotPhoto prints on glossy. If
you want matte, you must click the drop down menu to change it.
A note on customer service:
DotPhoto does not have phone customer service, they handle all
inquires over their online trouble ticket system. To contact
DotPhoto, click on help in the upper right corner of the screen,
then choose Contact Help from the middle bottom list. Enter your
information and order details if you have them. Someone should
contact you in 24-48 hours. DotPhoto asks that you do not send
repeat requests as it bogs down the system. If it is urgent, mark
your subject line with the word URGENT.
